Advent/Christmas items arriving!

These days we've been busy receiving a lot of stock for the upcoming Advent/ Christmas season. The 2009 Ordo just arrived, along with the liturgical calendars and planners.

We've got some lovely gift items this year...which we'll be telling you about in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I couldn't resist sharing the above photo with you of our assistant manager, Evelyn. She was putting out one of the new nativities for children, and she seemed to be perfectly color coordinated with the creche!

Photos from Fr. Witherup's Talk on Paul

I'm a little late getting these up (blame mid-terms that kept the community blogger from such enjoyable extra-curricular activities!)

We had a great turnout for Fr. Witherup last week--and everyone loved his lecture on St. Paul.

For those of you unable to attend the lecture, Fr. has written a number of books on Paul, which are of course available here at our Book Center:

Upcoming Lecture on St. Paul Oct. 16

This is just a reminder not to miss Fr. Ronald Witherup's presentation on St. Paul, which will take place NEXT Thursday evening, October 16, at 7:00 p.m. right here in our Book Center. Father Witherup has written a number of books on Paul, and in his lecture he will help us to examine the lasting testament the Apostle has given to the Church. Paul's tireless preaching and writing, his extensive travels on behalf of the gospel, and his love for Jesus Christ witness in a powerful way that conversion is not a one-time event but a lifelong commitment.

A member of the Society of St. Sulpice (Sulpicians), Fr. Witherup was recently elected Superior General of the Order. He holds a doctorate in biblical studies and is the former academic dean, vice rector, and professor of Sacred Scripture at St. Patrick's Seminary. Plan on coming early, to make sure you get a good seat for this wonderful event!
