Pope Benedict will be in the U.S. from April 15 - 21. The theme of his visit, "Christ Our Hope," ties in beautifully with his newest encyclical, Spe Salvi ("Saved in Hope"), which we will begin studying together on April 22nd (see posting below for more info). And isn't the logo above, published by the USCCB and reproduced with their kind permission, striking?
As you know, we have many resources available on the pope and his thought. His recently-published Jesus of Nazareth, in which the pope shows us Jesus as the Son who "lives before the face of God..., in the most intimate unity with the Father," is especially masterful.
