Pauline Summer Movie Night

This is just a reminder that our first film showing will take place this Friday, June 5th, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in our Pauline Center. Admission is free, and the film will be followed by a brief discussion and refreshments.

For those of you who have not yet had an opportunity to view Romero, it is an incredibly powerful story of the Salvadoran archbishop who was assassinated in 1980. The film is an exceptional portrayal of a man of the Church who initially appears unassuming, certainly uninterested in upsetting the status quo within his country. Gradually, however, he is transformed into a passionate pastor who cannot remain silent in the face of the suffering of his people. This quiet, gentle, and humble man decides to cast personal safety aside in publicly defending the rights of the poor and marginalized in San Salvador. His witness to the gospel ultimately costs him his life.

Romero was the first feature film of Paulist Pictures. It features Raul Julia in a starring role you will never forget. Please join us for an inspiring evening.
