Praying for our brothers and sisters in Haiti

Click here for a free e-book of prayers for Haiti. Now, more than ever, we need to stand with our Haitian sisters and brothers, both those in Haiti and their friends and relatives around the world worried about their well-being. This e-prayerbook (embedded below) is a useful way to focus intentions and be in spirit with those who need us most. Let's get this into the hands of millions of people around the world who can't go to Haiti in person but who can pray. The Haitians are giving us an impressive example of faith and prayer. Let us lift up their needs now that they will be able to rebuild their lives, their church, and their nation. This e-prayerbook is free. Download it, tweet it, embed it in your blog, post it on your own site or Facebook page. Use the prayers in bulletins, prayer groups, parishes or in the silence of your own heart.

Happy Feast of the Conversion of Paul

Today the Church observes a feast particularly dear to us Daughters of St. Paul. We celebrate the conversion of the great Apostle--the moment when Paul surrendered himself, body and soul, to Jesus.

For those of us 21st-century people who hope to follow in St. Paul's footsteps, we can only pray--as our Founder, Fr. James Alberione, encouraged us--that the Lord will "conquer" us as he "conquered" Paul. May Jesus transform us into receptive vessels of his grace.

Happy Feast of the Conversion!

One of our best-selling authors, Sr. Kathryn James, has a new book out: Beginning Contemplative Prayer: Out of Chaos, into Quiet. The book explains that you don't have to be a mystic or monk to obtain greater intimacy with God in prayer. All it takes is the desire for deeper communion with the One who passionately longs for us. Interested in finding out more? Check out the video below, then come in to see the book for yourself!

A new book celebrating the Feminine Genius

What better book to introduce at the start of this new year than our newest release from Pauline Books & Media, Discovering the Feminine Genius. The phrase "feminine genius" was coined by John Paul II some 20 years ago and refers to the truth about woman, her innate dignity and vocation within the divine plan.
