This Friday's presentation is the deeply moving and inspiring film Romero. Depicting the life and assassination of the Salvadoran Archbishop, this critically acclaimed film was produced by the Paulist Fathers in 1989.

Faith & Film Friday: Freedom Writers

This Friday's presentation is the 2007 film Freedom Writers. The film follows a young teacher (Hilary Swank) working with at-risk youth, who asks her students to keep journals about their troubled lives and apply history's lessons to break the cycle of violence and despair threatening their futures. Scott Glenn and Patrick Dempsey co-star in this moving drama based on real-life California educator Erin Gruwell.

This film is rated PG-13. Because it deals with serious themes, including gang violence, parental discretion is advised.
