This week Sr. Neville Christine, a junior professed sister of the Daughters of St. Paul renewed her vows. As a junior professed sister, she renews the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience every year until perpetual profession of vows. The juniorate lasts for 5-6 years. Sr. Neville is originally from Cameroon, Africa and she lived in Augusta, GA before joining the Daughters of St. Paul in 2005. She was stationed in our community in Philadelphia, PA before joining us in Redwood City, CA last October. When asked about her experience in Redwood City so far Sr. Neville said, "It has been enriching to be among God's people here in California and to bring his word to them through our Pauline publications and music in our book center in Redwood City and as we visit parishes and schools in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, the Dioceses of San Jose, Fresno, Santa Rosa, Reno, Sacramento and beyond. It is exciting to find creative and efficient ways to tell people the most important and urgent message-that Jesus loves us. Using the media to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ is our mission as Daughters of St. Paul."
May the Lord who continues to call men and women today grant them the grace to listen to his voice and follow after him with courage, trust and generosity.
Founded by Blessed James Alberione and Venerable Tecla Merlo, we are consecrated women religious who proclaim Christ as Paul did, sharing Jesus’ message of saving love with the world. We do this through our lives and through our mission of media evangelization. Our charism exists at the service of the Church precisely to give Christ a voice in today's communications culture.
